Installation
  1. Start the installer "setupNewton-II.exe“ imin your download folderto installe the program on your current user account.
  2. Confirm the end user agreement and follow the instructions.
  3. Start "Newton-II.exe" by double-clicking.
NOTE: An installer for all users of your computer can be found here (Admin rights required).
  1. If not done automatically by the browser, open the "Newton-II.dmg" file in your download folder.
  2. After confirming the end-user agreement, drag the "Newton-II" program into the program folder or anywhere on your hard drive.
  3. Start "Newton-II" by double-clicking.
  1. Unzip the file "Newton-II_Jar.zip" in your download folder.
  2. Move the extracted folder to the desired location in your user account.
  3. Depending on the configuration of the installed Java, either start with a double click, via the context menu or via the terminal. To do this, switch to the Newton-II folder in the command line and start the program with "java -jar Newton-II.jar".

  • NEW: It is now possible to define your own functions directly in the modeling field (before use!)
  • IMP: Import for comparison values improved (incl. settings dialog for text files .txt & .csv) more file formats added: .csv, .labx, .labm, .mmd, .gambl

  • FIX: The activated table type is now taken into account during saving/loading

  • FIX: Misleading message in case of no longer defined sizes in a self-defined table corrected
  • FIX: Fixed localization error with embedded JVMs (WIN/MAC)
  • FIX: Loading of erroneous projects is no longer interrupted by mistake

  • NEW: The variable names in the table of comparison values can now be changed
  • NEW: Offline callable quick reference guide (help menu)
  • NEW: Possibility to check the program version (via menu or at program start)
  • NEW: Conditional variables can now also be defined in the model field (once per line!)
              (e.g.y={1: IF(t<5): OTHER 2})
  • NEW: „Show version history“ ... added in „About Fluxion ...“
  • IMP: Drag with pressed middle mouse button moves the coordinate system
  • IMP: Definitions of the comparison functions now appear in the printout
  • IMP: Symbols of the model calculation now appear in the legend 
  • IMP: Examples/templates in the defined folders cannot be overwritten accidentally anymore
